(September 2012) Cadence Management Corporation continues to donate to the PMI Education Foundation by providing scholarships that allow primary and secondary teachers or administrators currently employed in a private or public school to attend a Cadence Seminar in a variety of locations.
The Cadence methodology delivers practical techniques that allow the project manger to develop plans rapidly and appropriate to the size of the project and implement these plans efficiently. It can also be easily applied into the classroom environment to allow educators to assimilate project management into curricula.
“It is a great pleasure to provide this service to PMIEF,” says Cadence CEO John Patton. “We are passionate about extending as both a life skill and a professional skill to students at an earlier and earlier age. They will be working on projects all of their lives.”
Andrew Stitt, CAPM CSM, of PMI Education Foundation stated, “Cadence has not only trained five teachers during their regularly scheduled seminars, they also put together a special training for teachers and administrators of the Kennewick School District in Washington. Teachers as individuals can make great things happen in their classrooms, and having as many people on the same team being trained really increases the benefits received. They can collaborate and exchange ideas with each other to enhance the learning experience in the classroom that much more.”
Attendees receive a Cadence Certificate of Completion and 24 education hours towards the requirements of the application for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®).
“PMIEF values Cadence as a partner and is incredibly appreciative of the difference that they have made through their generosity,” Stitt said.
